How to commission the Reverse osmosis plant

The reverse osmosis plant is divided into two parts; one part is pretreatment commissioning, this part mainly process flush and backwash of filter media(quartz sand, active carbon) to flush our impurities, and control the flow of feed water; the other part is reverse osmosis skid commissioning, mainly to adjust flow and pressure of inlet&outlet water.

1. Analyze and test the if the feed water reach the inlet water requirements of Reverse osmosis plant.

2. Adjust the pressure control system of the high pressure pump.

3. Check whether the connection between all the pipelines of the plant is complete, whether the pressure gauge is complete, whether the low-pressure pipeline connection is tight, and whether there is a shortage.

4. Fully open the pressure gauge switch and water inlet valve, concentrated water discharge valve, and product water discharge valve.

5. Start the pretreatment filters and adjust the water supply to be greater than the total water inflow of the plant.

6. Backwash and flush the sand&carbon filter until the outlet water is clear.

7. Start the high-pressure pump, and slowly open the main water inlet valve of the plant. The total water inlet pressure of the control device is less than 0.5Mpa, flush for 5 minutes, and check whether the pipes and instruments are normal.

8. Adjust the water inlet valve and concentrated water discharge valve to make the water inlet pressure reach 1.0～1.4Mpa.

9. Detect the product water conductivity, open the product water outlet valve and close the product water discharge valve when it meets the requirements.

10. The commissioning of the RO device is all manual single-step, after the normal operation, it can be switched to the auto state, and the operation is automatically controlled by the online instrument and PLC.

11. Start the regeneration system to see if the system works normally.

The most important thing to pay attention to in commissioning is: remember to close the water outlet valve and open the high pressure pump, which will cause great damage, so when process commissioning must pay attention to whether the pipeline is in the same state to start the pump.
