The reverse osmosis pure water system has relatively high requirements for the installation condition, so the environmental requirements are relatively high. There should be enough space near the whole system to connect water hoses, power and replace consumables. Please install the system near the water source, power supply and sink. The requirements for the water source environment are systems with tap water as the water source. The hardness of the incoming water should be considered. If the hardness is high, the incoming water should be softened first.

 

The reverse osmosis pure water system should be operated in a standardized manner. Whether it is in the selection of the environment or the adjustment of a fault, it should be operated according to the corresponding process, so that there will be no unnecessary losses.

 

If the reverse osmosis pure water system has some small faults in the daily life, then it needs to be checked reasonably. First, the reverse osmosis pure water system cannot be turned on during the inspection process. The sequential inspection process is to check whether the power plug is plugged in and whether the power supply is powered. Check whether the power switch cable is disconnected, and reconnect the power cable. The system shows that there is no water and an alarm sound indicates that the inlet water pressure is lower than the set value. If the water inflow is normal, check whether the pretreatment filters be clogged. If there is clog, process filter media backwash or replacement.

 

After on-site testing, it was found that the reverse osmosis system could not be started because the pressure protection switch on the water inlet pipeline and the water passage of the pressure protection switch in front of the high-pressure pump were blocked by rust, and the pressure could not be sensed, so it could not output signals to the PLC control program. causing the device to fail to start. After testing, the turbidity of the water out of the multimedia filter is not higher than 1.0NTU, which meets the requirements for entering the cartridge filter, and the cartridge filter does not have the possibility of being blocked by solid impurities.

 

Through the investigation of the water inlet pipeline of the reverse osmosis equipment, it was found that the reason for the increase of iron ions was the use of the booster pump. The purpose of introducing a booster pump is to ensure that the water entering the equipment has sufficient pressure to meet the pressure requirements of the sand filter, and to ensure that the high-pressure pump has sufficient starting pressure.  Improper selection of the booster pump makes the booster pump corrode rapidly, causing a large amount of iron ions to enter the pipeline. However, the equipment was designed according to the raw water, and the device for processing iron ions was not installed, which caused the sudden introduction of iron ions and affected the safe operation of the equipment. After the booster pump was stopped and the water-passing pipeline of the pressure protection switch was cleaned, the equipment resumed normal operation.

 

Through the analysis of the fault phenomenon, the cause of the failure of the equipment to start normally and the clogging of the security filter is the increase of iron ions in the raw water. These iron ions are reduced ferrous ions in raw water and can be dissolved in water. The water is adsorbed by the security filter or accumulated in the pipeline of the pressure switch. After the equipment is shut down, it is oxidized by the oxygen in the air and becomes insoluble ferric iron which is difficult to dissolve in water, causing damage to the security filter element and the pipeline. The blockage affects the normal operation of the equipment.

 

Through on-site debugging, operation and investigation of reverse osmosis pure water system, it is found that most of the failures in the operation of reverse osmosis equipment are caused by improper protection and improper use. In terms of reverse osmosis equipment design, theoretically selectable protective measures include pretreatment dosing protection, optimization of pretreatment process, and improvement of monitoring instruments.
