Reasons of High feed water pressure:

1. Improper adjustment of the outlet of high pressure pump

2. The pipe from the high pressure pump to the reverse osmosis skid is clogged

3. The concentrated water regulating valve is closed tightly, and the concentrated water discharge flow is small

4. The design recovery rate is low

Reasons for Low feed water pressure:

1. The feed water flow rate does not meet the design standard

2. Water leaks of system

3. The feed pressure of of the high pressure pump is insufficient, and the water pump leaks water and air

4. The cartridge filter is clogged

5. The water pumps are broken

During the operation of Drinking water reverse osmosis system, the feed water quality, temperature, and water pressure will have impact on system. If do not pay attention to these parameters, will affect the use of the system, resulting in water quality or water production capacity does not meet the design standards.

The feed pressure itself will affect the desalination rate, but the increase in feed water pressure will increase the water production that drives the reverse osmosis. The increased water production dilutes the salt through the membrane and increases the desalination rate; so when the inlet water pressure exceeds a certain value, the recovery rate will be low.If the concentration becomes too high and the concentration polarization is increased, the salt permeation will increase, which will offset the increased water production, so that the salt rejection rate will no longer increase.

When encountering the situation of high/low feed water pressure, check whether there are pipes blockage, cartridge filter clog, water leakage, loose valve, water pump broken; in order to ensure the safety and service life of the system, in daily operation shall record parameters.
