Pretreat water for commercial deionized water system

RO water is not as pure as ion exchanged (DI) water and is often used before the ion exchange process. When using RO water to feed deionizers or ion exchange systems, it extends their life and improves efficiency. In order to achieve high purity water, an RO is normally needed. Also, RO can remove bacteria and water-borne parasites.

Below have three treatment way of commercial deionized water system:

A) By ion exchange:

Raw Water--> Multimedia Filter--> Activated Carbon Filter--> Cation exchange- Anion exchange-> Mixed-Bed Deionizer--> Deionized Water.

B) By reverse osmosis+ mixed bed:

Raw Water--> Multimedia Filter--> Activated Carbon Filter--> Reverse Osmosis --> Mixed-Bed Deionizer--> DI water system/unit/plant

C) By Single reverse osmosis+ EDI:

Raw Water--> Multimedia Filter--> Activated Carbon Filter--> Reverse Osmosis --> EDI--> Product Water.

·· Product water purpose(industry process or others)

· Feed Water TDS (Total dissolved solids). Is it from Borehole/salt/brackish/lake water

· Iron

· Manganese

· TSS(Total Suspended Solid)

· SDI(Silting Density Index)< 3

· Water must be free from oils and grease

· Chlorine must be removed
