The cartridge filter is generally designed in RO plant after pretreatment filters and before the high pressure pump to trap small particles, colloids, microorganisms, etc., to protect the high pressure pump and prevent blockage of the RO plant membrane; pressure gauges are required for the inlet and outlet water of the cartridge filter. With the increase of operation time, the operation resistance of the filter element gradually rises due to the pollution of the trapped material. When the operation pressure difference reaches 0.1MPa, the filter element should be replaced in time.

 

The cartridge filters are mostly made of stainless steel housing. For special occasions such as acid and alkali resistance, R316 stainless steel can be used as the housing. It can be divided into flange type and clamp type. Flange type housing is mainly used in occasions with large water flow ; Commonly pp cotton, nylon, melt blown and other different materials be used as the filter element, the built-in filter element accuracy grade can be divided into 0.5μs, 1μs, 5μs and 10μs, etc., need to be selected according to different requirements, so that the product water quality can meets the demand. The number of filter elements can vary from one to dozens, mainly based on the capacity.

 

The principle of the cartridge filter is that under the action of pressure, the feed water will pass through the filter element while the filter residue will be left, and then the filtered water flow out through the filter element to achieve the purpose of filtration; due to different filter materials, the filter pore size is also varied.

 

The cartridge filter filtration is a kind of filtration between pretreatment filters and ultra-filtration. The cartridge filter pore size is generally in the range of 0.5~120μm; the same type of filter material can be divided into different specifications according to the appearance size; there are two wire wound filter elements One is polypropylene fiber with a maximum operating temperature of 60°C; the other is absorbent cotton fiber with a maximum operating temperature of 120°C; the melt blown filter element is a filter material made of polypropylene using a melt blown process and has a maximum operating temperature 60°C.

 

The cartridge filter can withstand higher filtration pressure. The unique deep mesh structure enables the filter element to have a higher slag load capacity. The filter element can be made of a variety of materials to meet the needs of various fluid filtration. It has a small size and a filter area. Large, low resistance and long service life, and necessary to be designed in RO plant
