Deionized water means by different processes removes anions and cations in the water. The ions in the water are mainly removed by RO membrane and ion exchange resin (double bed) or mixed bed resin, but there is still soluble organic matter in the water.

At present, the processes of deionized water unit in the industry mainly include the following:

1) Reverse osmosis;

2) Reverse osmosis + mixed bed ion exchange

3)Reverse osmosis + Double bed(cation resin+anion resin)

4) Reverse osmosis + EDI

5) Multiple beds + mixed bed ion exchange

Above four difference deionized water unit and the price will be the difference.

Does no deionized water corrode aluminum?

before DI water, because of the high free Hydrogen ion concentration is VERY corrosive. .  water is so corrosive it cannot be used in iron pipes, and will certainly tear into aluminum.

Kindly note that we are a deionized water plant manufacture We are good at producing DI unit ( de-ionization unit ) that assures water to be zero salts, zero minerals .. etc before going to dipping treatment tanks, Kindly advise the source water TDS or conductivity. and after the treated water.TDS become zero.

The client advises the source water is TDS 400ppm. The treated water TDS need become to Zero.

We suggest two processes Di water unit as below:

1)Reverse osmosis + double bed(cation resin+anion resin)

 2) Double bed(cation resin+anion resin)+mix bed(cation resin mixed anion resin)

The first one can save regeneration time. Only need regeneration cation resin and anion resin. But the price will be higher.

The 2nd one needs Frequency Regeneration. It will waste too much time and acid and alkali. Just the first time purchase the DI water unit price will be lower.

 For example, the feed water TDS is 400ppm, the conductivity is close to 800us/cm, and the conductivity of the produced water reaches 20us/cm after the cation and anion bed.

 For cation and anion resin. One bag resin(25L) can produce 8-10T DI water. Means total produce 56m3 water. Then need regeneration.

The cation resin regeneration time is 30 minutes, and the anion regeneration time is 45-60 minutes.

After the cation resin and anion resin the output water conductivity is 20us/cm.

The inlet water conductivity of the mixed bed is 20us/cm, and the outlet water resistance is 10 megohms.

1L mix bed resin can produce water 2.5T-3T.

Then the mix bed can produce 800m3 water and then need regenerate it.
